Material / Format: UX design, visual identity, campaign toolkit, print & digital
# practice: UX design · public engagement · visual systems · collaboration
A group design project developed for Schacksällskapet Kalmar, addressing the club’s challenge of reaching a more diverse audience. The project took the form of a public-facing toolkit combining print and digital communication. The work included a new visual identity, multilingual messaging, social media concepts, and a prototype website inviting the public to participate in chess events. Temporary pop-up chess activities were proposed as social spaces for learning, exchange, and breaking cultural and language barriers. The project explored how design can support inclusion through accessibility, tone, and format.

Material / Format: Illustrated activity guide, manual design
# practice: illustration · instructional design · sustainability · craft
An illustrated manual guiding readers through the process of creating a bird’s nest basket using natural, locally sourced materials. The guide introduces the material, where to find it, and how to work with it using a simple weaving technique. Inspired by the clarity of IKEA manuals, the design uses step-by-step illustrations to make the process approachable and engaging. The project focuses on learning through making, sustainability, and reconnecting with natural surroundings through simple craft practices.

Material / Format: Print systems, workshop toolkit, editorial design
# practice: workshop design · print systems · low-tech design · facilitation
Design of the material and print system for a four-session workshop series exploring grief and hope in the context of climate transition. The work focused on creating a minimal, tactile, and durable workshop kit suited for facilitated group settings. The project included grid-based guides, exercise cards, and printed materials, carefully adapted for folding, paper choice, and repeated use. Academic and pedagogical research was translated into clear visual structures, drawing on craft-based and low-tech design principles. Developed in collaboration with Karolina Lundahl and based on research at Malmö University, with Naturum Öresund and Folkuniversitetet; funded by SMHI.

Material / Format: Design research, digital platform, visual storytelling
# practice: decolonial design · cultural heritage · interaction design
A design research project investigating the relationship between visual culture, identity, and solidarity within the context of settler colonialism in occupied Palestine. The research examines how fear, misrepresentation, and erasure shape Palestinian narratives — and how design can counter these forces through care and accuracy. The project proposes Tatreez Stories, a digital platform that combines traditional Palestinian embroidery patterns with contemporary personal narratives. Through colour, pattern, and storytelling, the platform enables Palestinians to share experiences of identity, struggle, and hope, while fostering global understanding and solidarity.

Material / Format: Photogram, Milford paper (8 × 10 in)
# practice: experimental photography · material exploration
A photogram created during an artist studio course in Kalmar, using everyday objects placed directly onto photographic paper. The work reflects on mobility, control, and personal belongings within airport security contexts. The bag becomes an emotional object, carrying documents, weight, memory, and risk. It adapts to every place without changing itself, becoming heavier or lighter depending on uncertainty, direction, and purpose.
